The ISA is anticipating a truly world-class event for the 2010 Billabong ISA World Surfing Games at a perfect location with both left and right point breaks that will accommodate all participating athletes.

TEAM SIZE
Team confirmation, payment, seeded competitor lists and all documentation must be finalized with the ISA by close of registration on 18 October 2010 to participate in the 2010 Billabong ISA World Surfing Games.
Maximum Team size is as follows:
- 4 Open Men
- 2 Open Women
- 2 Longboarders
- Alternates, Team Officials and Team Supporters at the discretion of team management
REGISTRATION FEES
The current rate for registration is USD $200 per registrant. The ISA offers a discounted rate of USD $175 per registrant if received by the ISA 10 days prior to contest start. The discounted rate is only available for registration payments and documents received by the ISA prior to 10 October 2010.
REGISTRATION FEE SCHEDULE
- Teams will pay USD$175 per registrant if fees are received by end of day on 10 October 2010.
- Teams will pay USD$200 per registrant if fees are received between 11 and 17 October 2010.
- Teams will pay USD$200 per registrant plus a USD$25 late fee (USD$225 total) if fees are received onsite on the final day of registration without a reservation, 18 October 2010.
Registration closes promptly at 6:00pm on Monday, 18 October.
The ISA will only accept USD$ during Team Registration and throughout the duration of the contest. Please bring correct payment in USD$. No credit cards or checks for payments made at the contest.
Items to note:
- Registration fees will be charged to each team member, manager, coach, translator, medical staff, media, as well as supporters and additional parties.
- All registrants must sign an Indemnity Form provided by the ISA.
- A surfer competing in more than one division is required to pay a Registration Fee for each division entered.
- Alternates must be identified and paid for prior to close of registration to be eligible for participation in the contest.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Registration will take place during the day on the 16th, 17th and 18th of October. Please review the ISA's registration requirements for all necessary forms and items that must be submitted.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Country Representation
A competitor may only represent a country if he/she holds a passport or certified documents of citizenship declaring eligibility for a passport of that country.
Passports & Visas
It is the responsibility of the athlete to review the necessary Visa Requirements for Peru. Many countries have different regulations, and we urge you to check with your travel agent or your Foreign Affairs Department for requirements.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE
The ISA strongly recommends that each team procures travel insurance for all of their participants.
The Event will have a general liability policy. This coverage does not extend outside of the country. In an effort to protect your teams, the ISA highly recommends you consider securing personal travel insurance to ensure you are covered for any possible medical attention that may be needed.
AIR TRAVEL
The primary airlines servicing Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) are the following: American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Copa Airlines, Delta Airlines, KLM, LACSA Airlines and LAN Airlines.
DEPARTURE FEES
Please note that upon departing from Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima, Peru, you will be responsible for paying the USD$31 departure fee for all international flights.
LODGING
There are many affordable lodging options available in Punta Hermosa all ranging around USD$25 per night per person. Please visit www.surftripperu.com for all available options. All recommended lodging options are within a 5 – 15 minute walk to the contest site.
INTERNET
Some lodging providers may include wireless internet. If you are interested in receiving internet access with your accommodations, please inquire at time of reservation whether the rate includes internet availability and/or if internet availability can be arranged.
ELECTRICITY
The electric system in Peru is 220 volts. This may be different from your home country. You are advised to research whether or not you will need a transformer to convert the output to the voltage appropriate for your devices. The electrical plug is the same as the USA.
MONEY
The official currency in Peru is the “Sol” and as of 1 Aug, the exchange rate was at 2.85 Soles : USD$1.00. Many businesses in Peru accept USD$, however, they may not accept bills larger than USD$20.00 and you may not get the correct change.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Due to the close proximity of the contest site to the available housing options, the host will only provide shuttles for the Opening Ceremony and Official Meetings. Most of activities scheduled during the contest will take place within walking distance of the lodging options provided.
To/From Airport:
The distance between the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima and Punta Hermosa is about 50 kilometers and can take between 1 and 1.5 hours miles hours by car or bus. Your lodging may include transportation to/from the airport, please inquire at time of booking. MEALS
Breakfast & Dinner: Punta Hermosa has several local restaurants available for meals. Teams are also encouraged to secure meal options with selected accommodations at time of booking. Private house or apartment options may provide a personal chef at an additional expense.
Beach Lunches: There will be a food court available to teams within walking distance of the contest site. The food court will have many available options for local and international foods at affordable prices.
ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION
The legal drinking age in Peru is 18. Consuming alcoholic drinks in public areas and on the beach is illegal in the country of Peru and punishable in a court of law.
WATER
Tap water in Punta Hermosa is not clean or of good quality. All participants are encouraged to practice safe water habits in order to avoid potential illness. Bottled water should be used for drinking and brushing your teeth.
PAYMENT DETAILS
IMPORTANT - A nation will not be allowed to compete if it has any outstanding dues payable to the ISA.
For Credit Card payments, pay through the ISA Store on the ISA website - "ISA Event Registration Fee".
For Onsite payment, the ISA will only accept US Dollars.
